Happy Friday everyone! I wanted to share with you some recent illustrations and prints that I have created inspired by coastal life and the ocean in particular. We get a lot of seagulls here in the south of England, so you will see an appearance of those in the artwork below. I hope you like them. I created a print design recently that features lots of little teddy bears! The brand is called Bianca and Bear and my work is now live on their website! The print features on a lovely jogger set, see it here, or view the images below. I always enjoy creating prints for kids and baby wear as it allows me to draw really cute motifs and elements with fun characteristics. I’ve added some images below of the final product and artwork.

I recently finished another wall mural! This one was another huge project and a lot of fun. It measured 11.6 metres by 2.9 metres. The wall was inside a restaurant and inspired by french cuisine and travel. Watch the video below to see the process I went through:
I used chalk to create a grid and then lightly penciled in the design. Once I started adding colour, it was great to see it come to life! This project took 11 days to complete.

I have over eight years experience designing surface pattern and graphics for fashion, product, and packaging. I have also designed several logos for established brands and companies. Having worked in-house and freelance for adult and kids fashion brands, I have a great eye for trends and colour palettes and can create tech-packs and print-ready artwork. I was asked to design a logo for A Scenic Sauna, a company based in Ballygally, Ireland. Here is the final logo plus some of my workings. This was a fun project. I do enjoy a sauna myself, and hope to visit this one at some point as it looks like a great place to relax.

Hello! I think it’s important that we gain inspiration from stuff other than our mobile phones and the internet. In this blog post, I’m going to tell you why nature and in particular, the ocean, inspires my work and what I think is important to a great design or piece of art. Firstly I’d like to talk about the great outdoors and why so much of my work is inspired by the natural world. I have been lucky enough to have lived by the sea for most of my life. I learnt how to surf at a young age and feel comfortable swimming long distances in open water. The sea is a place I can feel truly at one with nature, as to me it is like you are being physically picked up and wrapped up by the elements. I love that the ocean has this crazy energy which if you’re not careful, can catch you out. I feel as though this has influenced my work by making me want to be ambitious and take risks when designing. It’s rewarding exploring new ways to create colour and form. New techniques may not always work the first time but sometimes you might just find that little tweak that makes a graphic or print a whole lot more exciting.
