I am a Print and Graphic Designer based in Dorset with over 2 years experience designing repeat patterns and placement prints for lifestyle brands. My designs have featured on clothing, accessories, gifts and marketing purposes.
You will see coastal elements such as shells and boats in my designs, this is because I have lived by the sea for most of my life, inspiring a lot of my work. I try to gain as much inspiration as possible when I go out walking by taking a camera and capturing surrounding plants and flowers.
My favourite medium is watercolour, but I have also used collage and other media to create my designs. View my portfolio online to see a range of my designs: www.paigecritchley.com/portfolio. Transferring my work onto fabric excites me as it adds a new intriguing dimension to my work, particularly when working with a fabric that has exciting properties, such as transparency or surface texture.
I’ve studied Fine Art and Fashion from as early as GCSE Level and completed a Level 4 Diploma in Art and Design at Falmouth University. My passion for Textile Design became apparent through this, and has continued at De Montfort University where I achieved a First Class Honours in Printed Textiles.
