My friend and her dog

Paintings

Here is a painting I did recently of my friend Sara and her dog, Teddy. He sadly passed away earlier this year and he was her best friend. The painting shows them both at Kamloops lake in B.C. Canada. I lived near the lake for a while when I was travelling and we would go for walks there together. I met Sara at a ski resort and we became very close friends during my travels in Canada. I hope you like it! It’s an acrylic painting 21 x 29.7 cm. Check out my other paintings on my ‘paintings’ tab at the top of my website. I am currently taking commissions, so please get in touch if you would like me to paint you something. I hope you are having a great week so far!

Biggest commission yet!

Paintings

I finished my biggest commission so far! It’s 1.5m x 1m. I have to admit, I did find it tough finding an easel that would fit this sized canvas. I had to borrow one from my local University as my personal one wasn’t big enough. This painting went through quite a few stages. I changed the centre boat more than once and there are several layers to the landscape. I was working from a photograph, as the client wanted this painting in memory of someone who passed away. You can see the journey of this painting below through photos that I took along the way.

Big commission!

Paintings

I have been commissioned to create something rather big! My biggest painting yet. It’s a 1.5 metres x 1 metre acrylic painting. I’ve been working on it for the last few weeks and I’m very excited to show you all. I do love a challenge, and this certainly hits the spot. Finding an easel was the tricky part, ha ha. I am lucky as my local University lent me one. I’m going to have to consider buying one myself as these large paintings are definitely becoming a more enticing hobby. Once It’s finished I’ll be posting it up on here so watch this space! Here’s some sneak peeks…
