I was asked to design a logo for A Scenic Sauna, a company based in Ballygally, Ireland. Here is the final logo plus some of my workings. This was a fun project. I do enjoy a sauna myself, and hope to visit this one at some point as it looks like a great place to relax.

Exciting news! My graphics are now available at Breath Clo, an outdoor lifestyle brand based in Greece. 2 of my designs feature in their new Spring Summer 2024 collection and I am really happy with them! I enjoy creating graphics inspired by nature and the great outdoors. It feels good working for brands that promote this lifestyle as I know how good it is for your mental health to get outside and keep active.

I was hired recently by Dopania Ltd to create 15 graphics promoting positivity, happiness and self-love. I enjoyed this project as I was able to create fun motifs and play with bright colours. My favourite jobs are usually the ones that are colourful and bright! Check out what I designed below.

I was recently asked to create a logo for ‘Isle Achieve‘, a health & fitness business on the Isle of Wight. I spent some of the earlier years of my childhood on the Isle of Wight, so this was a great project for me as it brought back some great memories of growing up on this lovely little Island. The brief was to incorporate an element that represented achievement with the shape of the Island. I had fun coming up with lots of options for this. You can see the final design below.

Hello! I think it’s important that we gain inspiration from stuff other than our mobile phones and the internet. In this blog post, I’m going to tell you why nature and in particular, the ocean, inspires my work and what I think is important to a great design or piece of art. Firstly I’d like to talk about the great outdoors and why so much of my work is inspired by the natural world. I have been lucky enough to have lived by the sea for most of my life. I learnt how to surf at a young age and feel comfortable swimming long distances in open water. The sea is a place I can feel truly at one with nature, as to me it is like you are being physically picked up and wrapped up by the elements. I love that the ocean has this crazy energy which if you’re not careful, can catch you out. I feel as though this has influenced my work by making me want to be ambitious and take risks when designing. It’s rewarding exploring new ways to create colour and form. New techniques may not always work the first time but sometimes you might just find that little tweak that makes a graphic or print a whole lot more exciting.

I painted a Philippine eagle recently and thoroughly enjoyed it! I’m clearly getting into this bird painting business if you have a look at my other recent posts…
For this painting I found a photo of a Philippine eagle online and found it really mesmerising. I immediately wanted to paint it. My partners favourite animal is also this particular bird so it made a great birthday gift! I have to say, I’m still not completely satisfied with the detail in the head feathers. I may go back to it at some point.

I did another commission recently of a robin. This one is slightly different as a hand replaces the ukulele! I did struggle with this painting as hands a very tricky to paint! I enjoyed it though and I loved working with some brighter colours in this one. Also the background is somewhere I have been walking often and watched some lovely sunsets. It was a pleasure to paint. I hope you like it!

More prints to show you… I created a lot of prints for Kite Clothing when I was working for them in-house. I designed all the graphics and prints for their AW22, SS23 and AW23 collections. I also worked on some knitwear designs, embroideries and appliques. I particularly liked working for this brand because there was always a happy and meaningful story behind each design. It was fun picking themes and coming up with new designs. I was able to work with bold and bright colours and help finalise colour palettes. Colour is always something I enjoy playing with!
There are two prints from their AW23 range that I viewed recently on their website and wanted to show you why I like them. The first is the Superheroes print, a favourite because it basically implies that anyone or anything can be a superhero! I had a lot of fun playing with the colours in this one all the animals just look so happy! The other depicts a range of dinosaurs, I like this one, because although it’s a bit simpler then the superheroes, it shows a different style and still has a lot of character. I am also a fan of dinosaurs.
