Swim, Surf & Skate Inspired Bedding Artworks

graphic design, print design

I’m so excited! My first collection for a bedding company is out now. I was asked by the lovely Jo’s Dreamland to design a range of artworks which included surfing, swimming, and skateboarding themes. I’ve mentioned a few times on previous posts that swimming and surfing has a big place in my heart and I get so much inspiration from it. I’ve also done a bit of skateboarding but I can’t say I am any good at it 🤣. I absolutely loved designing these artworks for this company. Thank you for working with me  Jo’s Dreamland!

Are you creating a textile based company and need help designing the artwork for it, or do you have a surface pattern in mind that you would like creating for your bedroom or other textile product in your home?

Cat furniture artwork for The Refined Feline - designed by paigecritchley.com

Creative Cat Furniture Artwork Design

Drawings/illustrations, graphic design

Sometimes I get asked to create artwork for products I would never expect! These artworks were created for The Refined Feline, a company selling cat furniture for feline lovers. This project was so much fun, I got to work with a bunch of bright colours and abstract shapes – my favourite kind of project!

These artworks were created for cat scratching posts but sadly didn’t get to production stages. Thankfully though I have been given permission to share them with you. I hope you like them! See below the artwork and a visual mockup of how the product would have looked, had it of been launched.

Have a great day!

Restaurant wall mural complete

Another wall mural complete!

Paintings

I recently finished another wall mural! This one was another huge project and a lot of fun. It measured 11.6 metres by 2.9 metres. The wall was inside a restaurant and inspired by french cuisine and travel. Watch the video below to see the process I went through:

I used chalk to create a grid and then lightly penciled in the design. Once I started adding colour, it was great to see it come to life! This project took 11 days to complete.

This was the plan I used to create the grid:

Here are some images to show the final painting and some action shots:

A wall for the kids room

Paintings

I recently completed another wall mural for a client in BC Canada. The client was a small family in Sun Peaks Ski Resort, and the kids wanted their stuffed toys to be included in the design. The first character was a hedgehog called ‘Hedgy’ and a rabbit called ‘Crusty Bun’. I’ve put some pictures of Crusty Bun below:

I designed a few different options for this piece. You can see them below:

The client picked their favourite design and that was it… I was ready to start this fun piece of art! The design was a bit of a challenge for me as the previous wall mural I had created was a completely different process. However I enjoyed the puzzle of how I was going to create these clean/sharp edges. A little tip to anyone creating something like this: masking tape was a big help!

Wall mural progress

Paintings

Here are some pictures of the 18ft wall mural that I finished last week! So happy with how it turned out.

The height was definitely something to get used to, I had to use scaffolding and make sure I was keeping an eye on where I was putting my feet throughout the process!

It was a big challenge but also very exciting and rewarding. I hope I get to do this again one day.

What a lovely idea – bringing the outside in. Interior design is a lot of fun.

Once the room is furnished and decorated, I will be putting some more pictures up, so watch this space!

18ft Wall Mural

Paintings

I’m currently painting a wall mural! I’ve never been asked to paint one this big so it’s been an exciting challenge so far. I am absolutely loving it though! There are 2 walls that I’m painting, the tallest being 18ft! I’ve had to work on a scaffolding with 2 platforms. See how I’m progressing in the pics, and watch this space as I’ll be posting the finished piece soon!
