Spiralis Energy illustration

Sealife inspired illustrations

Drawings/illustrations, graphic design

Here are some illustrations that I did recently for Spiralis Energy, a company in the UK creating sustainable energy from moving water. I thoroughly enjoyed creating these! The first one (shown below) depicts a spiral of sealife, each element is hand drawn and placed in this format to depict a spiral of swimming sea creatures.

The second illustration (shown below) depicts a chilled out floating otter. The meaning behind this is because the tidal energy generator that Spiralis Energy have created, floats in the ocean, not like other tidal energy generators that are placed deep in the water or at the bottom of the ocean.

Get in touch if you need a graphic or illustration for your business or personal project. I’d love to help, especially if it’s about the sea!

Coastal inspired designs

Drawings/illustrations, graphic design, print design

Happy Friday everyone! I wanted to share with you some recent illustrations and prints that I have created inspired by coastal life and the ocean in particular. We get a lot of seagulls here in the south of England, so you will see an appearance of those in the artwork below. I hope you like them. Please get in touch if you want to purchase any of my work from my shop. You can also contact me for custom print designs and graphics. I have over 6 years experience designing prints and graphics for clothing, accessories and merchandise, as well as branding and logo design.

I have been lucky enough to have lived by the coast for most of my life and it has influenced a lot of my work. See my about me page to learn more.

Have a great weekend!

Illustration for outdoor swimming brand

Drawings/illustrations, graphic design, print design

Exciting news! I have been working with an outdoor swimming brand based in Bristol, UK. I was asked to create an illustration for a t-shirt inspired by swimming in the wild. I sketched a few different layouts and swimmers in different positions. We decided to go with the drawing as featured in the images below. I really enjoyed creating this for Wilda, they are a great brand that encourage people to get involved with open water swimming, an activity I also love.

Get in touch if you need artwork for your outdoor brand or company merchandise, I’d be more then happy to help! Contact me at paigecritchley@hotmail.co.uk or you can use the contact page on my website.

Avo-good day

Drawings/illustrations

Morning! I made something recently for a friend that I wanted to share. It’s drawings showing the process of planting an avocado stone. It’s a tricky task! I’ve only had one succeed so far. Along with the framed artwork I included a plant (the stone that actually sprouted!)

These drawings were used to create an activity card for Kite Clothing. Find this in the portfolio tab on my website under drawings if you fancy giving it a go. Avo-good day!
